1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ExpiryOS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Service Description

ExpiryOS is a worker credential compliance system designed to help companies track expiring credentials, automate renewal notifications, and enforce deployment compliance based on credential status. The core invariant of the service is: no worker with expired or missing credentials can be deployed.

The service includes:

  • Worker roster management with role-based requirement templates
  • Tokenized document upload portal for workers (no login required)
  • Automated credential expiry monitoring and notifications
  • OCR-based document verification (admin-reviewed)
  • Real-time compliance status dashboard
  • CSV export for audit and compliance reporting

3. Your Responsibilities

As a user of ExpiryOS, you agree to:

  • Keep credentials secure: Protect your login credentials, API keys, and upload tokens. Never share these with unauthorized parties.
  • Maintain accurate information: Keep worker names, email addresses, phone numbers, and role assignments current and accurate.
  • Authorize all workers: Confirm that all workers registered in ExpiryOS have authorized their inclusion and consent to credential tracking.
  • Use only for compliance: Use ExpiryOS exclusively for employment credential compliance purposes. Do not use it to track, store, or process data outside this scope.
  • Comply with laws: Ensure your use of ExpiryOS complies with all applicable employment, data protection, and privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

4. Limitations of Liability

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED IN THESE TERMS, EXPIREOS IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EXPIREOS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE
  • BUSINESS INTERRUPTION OR COST OF SUBSTITUTE SERVICES
  • ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE

This limitation applies even if ExpiryOS has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so these limitations may not apply to you.

5. Data Security

ExpiryOS implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your devices and our servers is encrypted using TLS/SSL.
  • Encryption at Rest: Sensitive data (credentials, tokens) is encrypted in our database.
  • Row-Level Security (RLS): Database policies restrict data access to authorized users within your tenant account.
  • Regular Audits: We conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Access Controls: Admin users are authenticated via Supabase Auth with role-based permissions.

However, no security system is completely impenetrable. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You assume all risk associated with data transmission over the internet.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt unauthorized access to ExpiryOS or its infrastructure
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
  • Use ExpiryOS for any purpose outside employment credential compliance
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts the service for other users
  • Sell, resell, or transfer access to ExpiryOS without authorization

7. Termination

ExpiryOS may terminate your service at any time if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • Payment for your subscription is not received
  • We detect fraud or abuse of the service
  • You request termination of your account
  • We discontinue the service (with 30 days' notice)

Upon termination, you will lose access to your ExpiryOS account and associated data. Data deletion will follow the retention periods outlined in our Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to Terms

ExpiryOS may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email to your registered account address. Your continued use of ExpiryOS after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
